Pandora's Hat Box
As you can see it has taken me a long time to get back to this and actually start a blog.
I have been working on various crafts for the last two years starting out with making clothing for the 18" play dolls. I enjoyed it very much and accumulated quite a collection, but running out of room had become a big problem so one day while scrolling thru the web I found Dixie Redmond's clay doll workshop and switched to working with clay, making cloth bodied dolls covered in air dry clay, sculpted, painted and dressed. After making eight of these dolls I discovered miniatures and have been hooked ever since. There is something about small items that I find absolutely fascinating and after joining a few miniature groups online I have become ready to build my own little worlds and people them with ladies and gentlemen of an earlier time.
My first doll house is actually three roomboxes painted and individually stacked one on top of the other to creat my own little "West Wing" where my first dolls reside. One day I hope to have an additional "East Wing" that will contain additional rooms as the need arises. Making furniture and treasure hunting for miniscule items that will fit right in as if they had been meant for the space, is now my favorite pastime.
I had hoped to share some of my discoveries, interests ... and keep an online journal but like my REAL journals (Yes, JournalS, Capital S) my mind has wandered off to different worlds I'm no longer interested in dolls, or dollhouses, or decorative painting but am now addicted to scrapbooking and altered art.

I drive myself crazy; I probably have five different journals each with a few weeks of notes and then nothing for five years,
and it gets misplaced... shall we say and I am very fortunate to run into it again someday and I must admit I do enjoy reading and catching up on how things were then and then I add on another note catching things up and the whole process repeats itself.
